Lewis stood leaning against a wall outside the school entrance. He didn't know what the time was, not bothering to check his phone and not having a watch on, all he knew was that it was some time in the afternoon. He was sure he had a class soon, but he had already check the rest of his classes for today weren't anything he considered important so he could skip it. Lewis sighed and looked around, the place was pretty much deserted but that was because everyone would be in classes probably. Lewis moved to sit on one of the steps in the middle, turning his back so he could lean on the wall and stretched out his legs. He considered for a minute going back into school and going back to the rest of his classes for the day, but the he hadn't slept in a few nights, all his basketball practice and homework to juggle about. He could goto sleep right here, it wasn't to uncomfy and there was only a slight breeze that didn't bother him much. Lewis slowly closed his eyes, he probably wouldn't got to sleep but he could rest his eyes which were basically begging to close. It was so stressful sometimes having to practice for big game, but making sure he passed all his classes and test otherwise they wouldn't even let him play. Lewis sighed again. It would be nice to have someone to talk to once in a while as well, yeah he did have friends but there were always so busy as well. WHERE I'LL PROVE I'M ALL YOU WANT AND MORE. you just need to let it unfold. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Alexia was walking slowly toward the front steps, praying someone interesting would also be there. She only had a few classes now, and none of them were actually worth going to anyway, so it would be fine if she just skipped. No teacher would dare ever get mad at her, she was way too innocent-looking for her own good. Her blonde curls, tiny stature, and blue eyes all screamed "angelic", and she definitely used it to her advantage when it came to getting anything she wanted, whether that be avoiding a punishment, money or new stuff. In her opinion, it wasn't a bad thing to do, some people were just better at persuasion than others. She just had an extra advantage, that's all.
Arriving at the steps, Lex grinned as she saw Lewis leaning against the wall with his eyes closed. She tiptoed toward him, as quietly as her strappy Louboutin heels would allow, and bent down to whisper in his ear "Hello darling", before sitting down next to him and crossing her tanned legs. She was glad that there was someone else here, and that it happened to be him. At least he was fun to hang out with, and maybe do more with. But she wasn't about to get into that, at least, not yet.
Alexia and Lewis had a lot of chemistry between them, and had only broken up about a month or two ago. It wasn't that they didn't like each other, but neither of them were happy being with only one person for a long time, and so this was just easier. It didn't mean that they couldn't hook up at all.. But Lex just kept her blue eyes on Lewis, smiling softly. "What brings you out here? Apart from me, of course." She asked, winking at him. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Lewis heard the sound of footsteps approaching. No they weren't footsteps, they were the sound of high heels. Well it narrowed it down, he knew it wouldn't be one of his mates coming to keep him company, perhaps a girl he knew or someone he could get to know. But when they got quieter, Lewis lost interest and began to go back in to his half sleep again. But when he heard that sweet voice whisper in his ear, he was fully awake. Lewis kept his eyes closed as he heard that angelic voice whisper in his ear, he knew immediately who it was. No one else could send shivers down his spine like that when they talked. It was Lex. Lewis smiled and slowly opened his eyes as he heard her sit down. He shifted position slightly and looked at her. Alexia was beautiful, there was no doubt about that, sometimes he got slightly sad when he wondered about them breaking up. But they were still very close friends so it didn't matter.
Lewis smiled at her and raised one eyebrow slightly as Alexia spoke again. "Only waiting here hoping you might pass by me brought me here," he looked straight into her beautiful blue eyes, "and perhaps the boredom of school." Lewis shrugged and sat up straighter. Not a single sound would make him look away from her, she always had his full attention when they talked. Her looks simply hypnotized Lewis. "What about you?" Lewis then asked, he wondered what Lex was doing not in class, he knew she wasn't the type to constantly be in classes and not skip a single one, he just had never seen her skip a class so it was slightly unusual to slightly simple Lewis. But then Lex was always surprising him. WORDS!? 301 STATUS!? done! CREDIT!? credit to carrie @ caution

WHERE I'LL PROVE I'M ALL YOU WANT AND MORE. you just need to let it unfold. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Alexia smiled as Lewis opened his eyes, her heart skipping a beat. She wouldn't tell him, but he still had that kind of effect on her. Even though they weren't going out, her body still went completely haywire around him. But there was no way she would tell him that. Besides, they were still close, and she didn't want to ruin their friendship, although she was pretty certain that he felt the same way. But she couldn't risk it. And flirting with him was so much fun, she wouldn't give it up for anything. Lex did wonder though sometimes, how things would be if they were still together. The only problem had been commitment. Neither of them had been too good at it.
As he spoke, Lexie knew he couldn't see her heartbeat quicken, and was glad for it. There was somehting about his voice that made her long for how things used to be, as if it could wipe all her cares away. It was the kind of voice that could render someone powerless. It was so unfair. She laughed, shaking her head, and making her blonde curls tumble down her back. "Sure, sure." She watched him for a moment before smiling softly "You look good.". Lex ran a hand through her long hair before answering his question. "I have nothing interesting to do, and I figured that someone else would be here too." She smiled simply, not giving out any more details. With guys, it was better to just give out a simple answer, even if there were no details. It kept them listening, not that Alexia ever had a problem with that. What Alexia really loved about Lewis was the way he looked at her. That was what made her heat beat at a crazy rythm, and her breathing come unevenly. It was as if only she mattered, and he couldn't keep his eyes off her. Almost as if he knew that was exactly what she wanted, what she needed, and was willingly giving it to her. He always seemed to know exactly what it was that she wanted. It really made a girl feel special. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Lewis raised his eyebrows and looked at Lex slyly when she said he looked good. Lewis was a little bit vain and had to admit he did look good but compared to Alexia, he was nothing. He could have kissed her then had it not of had the possibility of damaging their close friendship. Sure they still kissed every now again, just small kisses, but there was a time and a place. "In these clothes, the old ones a chuck on for school every day, do you relly think so?" Lewis chuckled and said, "well you look absolutely gorgeous." He winked at her and smiled again. He meant every word, she really did look gorgeous. Lewis nodded when she was finished and had answered his question. Alexia probably did have classes, but she would be right they wouldn't be interesting, well, at least not as interesting as him. "Well, you figured right, and isn't it extremely lucky that it was me here as well, you could have been stuck with some geek other wise," he grinned at her.
Now Lewis really did want to know the time. He wanted to know how long he had before it got dark, so he had a rough estimate of how long he would have with Alexia. Hopefully he hadn't been late afternoon when he came out here. Lewis sat up straighter against the wall, slouching down hurt his back slightly and besides he wanted to see Lex better in the bright sun shine. "So how have you been?" Lewis asked, he hadn't see Lex in a while come to think of it. He'd seen her around town and school but he hadn't actually talked in a couple of weeks. Lewis really enjoyed talking to her, she was a change from his basketball crazy friends, and they could talk very easily to each other. He missed talking to Lex a ,ot of the time. WHERE I'LL PROVE I'M ALL YOU WANT AND MORE. you just need to let it unfold. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Lex grinned playfully, "Sweetie, you always look good." She answered innocently before chuckling softly, "That sweet of you.". Lewis really was sweet. She wasn't sure if it was just some kind of natural instinct or whatever, but he always seemed to know exactly what to say, and when to say it. It was so unfair, in her opinion. Lexie wasn't in the least surprised that Lewis was skipping class, he probably missed more classes than he went to. You could always count on him to skip with you, at least. She heard his next words and laughed. "Tell me about it. But seriously, I'm so glad that it's you, and not someone else." She told him with a wink, before flipping her long hair over her bare shoulder to keep it out of her face.
As Lewis straightened up, Lex felt a pang of longing. She missed him, a lot more than anyone knew, even her sister. But she refused to think about it too much for now, because there was a time and place for everything, and this was not it. The sun was shining in her eyes, and so she shifted a bit to avoid having to squint, which inadvertently brought her closer to Lewis. Now they were almost touching. She was pretty sure he was aware of it too.
Something in her back pocket was poking into her, and she pulled it out, finding a lighter. Staring at the flame as she flickered it on and off, she knew that a comment would soon follow, since Lewis might be wondering what she was doing with a lighter. Alexia didn't smoke, at least not unless she was at a party, but he didn't know that. And the main reason she carried one around was to be different, and because surprising people was fun. Being boring and predictable was horrible, to her, and so she did small, random things that would provoke questions or comments, no matter how insignificant. And it was always useful to own a lighter, you never knew when you might need one. She carried on flicking the lighter on and off, gazing at the flame. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Lewis grinned at Lex, and chuckled with her, and gave a slight nod when she said it was sweet of him. He ran a hand through his short hair once again wondering about the time. But he just shoved that thought to the back of his mind, the more he thought about the time the less he would concentrate on Lex and his conversation with her. And he wouldn't want to do that. "Who wouldn't be glad it was me? Although I am glad that it was you who came up these steps other wise I could still be lying here drifting off to sleep." Lewis said. It was true if Alexia hadn't came along, Lewis would of either eventually gone back to class or stayed here and dozed off. Which he would regret when he woke, he'd accidentally slept on the front steps before the next few hours after he woke his neck was in sincere agony. Sub-consciously Lewis rubbed the back of his neck at the thought, he didn't want that memory to happen again.
Lewis accidentally breathed in and held his breath as Lex moved closer to him. He could of wrapped his arms around her and held her tight right then, but once again he restrained him self. Quickly, Lewis let out the breath he had been holding once he was recovered enough not put his arm around her shoulder and hold her close to his chest. Luckily, wen Lex started taking something out of her back pocket, his attention was diverted, and when he saw her pull a lighter out of her back pocket, Lewis got very interested. He wondered what she was doing going around with one of them, sure he had one in his pocket, Lewis smoked when he was nervous or stressed or extremely bored. It was a horrible habit but also a wonderful addiction. But this was Lex, he'd never seen her smoke. He frowned at her and opened his mouth, unsure of what to say exactly. Should he just ask her if she smoked or not so direct. Stuff that, Lewis thought. He wasn't a subtle person. "Lex what have you got a lighter for?" Lewis started off, and then just because it was typical Lewis he added, "I didn't think angels smoked, do they?" He stared into her eyes, he wouldn't mind if she smoked this would just be another one of her many surprise, she never seized to stop surprising him. He followed her gaze as well, watching as she flicked the flame on and off, he did that to when he was nervous and didn't want a smoke, or usually because he didn't have one on him. WHERE I'LL PROVE I'M ALL YOU WANT AND MORE. you just need to let it unfold. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Alexia watched him as he spoke, smiling softly. "I know." She replied simply, her blue eyes watching the grounds before turning slowly back to Lewis. What had always bothered her when they were together was that she never knew what he was thinking. He always seemed to know just what was on her mind, but she never could read him as well. It drove her crazy. The way he reacted sometimes surprised her, and she always longed to ask what he was really thinking, but couldn't. Anyone else probably would have asked, but that wasn't like Lex. She was different, and didn't roll that way.
Alexia was very aware of how close they were, and could practically feel the waves of desire and electricity coursing through them. It was crazy. She was glad she was wearing a nice perfume today, it happened to be one that he had bought her. From the corner of her eye she saw him tense very slightly before letting out a breath he had been holding. She didn't react, but inside she felt a warm tingle spreading through her. His interest in her carrying a lighter was to be expected, and Lexie waited a moment before answering. She hated giving really long explanations, but what was too short, and what was too long? Knowing Lewis, there wouldn't be any implied comments or subtlety, and she almost smiled as he proved her right. She let her soft blue eyes rest on him for a moment longer than necessary, and then smiled softly. "Don't you have a lighter on you?" She asked simply, fairly sure that he would. Even if he didn't have fags with him, Lewis usually had a lighter somewhere on him, or at least, he used to. His next comment made her smile. She looked down, before glancing back over at him. "Who says I'm an angel?" She asked provocatively, a sly smile playing on her soft lips. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Lewis looked up from the lighter and into Lex's eyes, for amoment they both just stared at each other and even after Lex had looked away he couldn't. It was as if she had locked his gaze in place, finally he look way from her hypnotizing blue eyes. He rubbed his eyes and then looked back up as she spoke again. Of course he still had his lighter on him. It was in his jean pocket, buried deep under all the other masses of rubbish he stuffed in there. He stuck his hand into his pocket and began searching for it while grnning at Lex. "Me? A lighter? Not me, I'm a good boy, you should no that Lex," he hand grabbed the lighter and pulled it to the surface, "scratch that I've found it!" He pulled out his black lighter and flicked the flame out a couple of times before cradling it in both of his hands between his knees. But then his attention was immediately back at Lex as she spoke again. He grinned at her. "Oh, you may not act like an angel all the time, but you are, even if you're not, you certainly look like one," he winked at her and and chuckled. WORDS!? 208 STATUS!? done! Oh Lewis was good alright, just not in that sense. She watched him pull out the lighter and laughed. There was something oddly fascinating about lighters, the way the small flame flickered, casting light for a fair distance. And it could be put out so easily, so there wasn't really very much danger in playing with one, unless you were dumb enough to set your hair on fire, which Lex definitely wasn't. She smiled slyly at him, "You're a good boy, huh?" She asked, before leaning in until their faces were almost touching, and she could feel the warmth of his skin. She whispered softly in his ear, "Prove it." Before leaning away again, a small smile still playing on her lips.
HIs comment caused a small blush to rise into her cheeks as she looked down. Lewis could always make her feel exactly what he wanted her to feel. She ran a small hand through her curls, before looking back up at him. "I'm only an angel to you though sweetheart." She answered quietly, tossing the lighter from one hand to another. Truth was, no matter how confident and sure of herself Alexia seemed to the outside world, even she had her insecurities, like everyone else. She just hid them better. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Lewis watched a sly smile appear on Lex's face and he began to get worried, but still played along with her. He nodded as she commented on him being a good boy and grinned. The grin fixed on his face as Lex leaned over and whispered in his ear, Lewis felt those familiar shivers and tingles shoot down his spine, the ones he still wasn't used to. He gulped accidentally as she whispered for him to prove it. How could he prove it? Him, Lewis, prove he was a good boy. He wondered what to do, there was no way out of this he had to do something. Lewis could see only one look to do, it probably wasn't the best of his options but he couldn't think of anything else to do. Lewis leaned in to wards Lex, much like how she had done to him before. He kissed her gently on her cheek, breathing in the wonderful smell of her perfume which he was sure he recognized and then whispered in her ear. "I don't think I can do that," Lewis stayed there for a second longer and then pulled away, brushing cheeks with her as he did so. He smiled innocently at her and then looked back at his lighter and the quick flame he sent shooting in and out from it.
Lewis watched smiling as a blush slowly appeared on Lex's face, he enjoyed making her blush for some reason. He watched the redness creep up on her cheeks. And he smiled even more when she looked down then finally looked back up. He shrugged at her comment. "Maybe, but thats their loss, definitely not mine," Lewis grinned at her. It was true, if people couldn't see how angelic Lex was it really was there loss, but Lewis did and always would. He ran a hand through his hair once again and watched Alexia. He enjoyed watching her, her movement her reactions. He enjoyed watching the way she reacted, although sometimes she was very good at covering some emotions and reactions up, he loved trying to decipher those ones. WORDS!? 351 STATUS!? done! Her hands itched to tangle themselves in his hair and pull his face closer, but she didn't, she couldn't. She merely gave him a mysterious smile, letting that be her only reaction. He smelt amazing, just like she remembered. It was a very masculine smell, and she couldn't really describe it. His words after made her smile, and she shook her head. "You don't see me very clearly." She told him softly, as the smile disappeared.
But looking back up at him, her mood cleared. Abruptly turning away for a moment, thoughts raced through Alexia's head as she stared at the grounds. She wanted to kiss Lewis so badly, but what would happen after that? Especially since things might have been going somewhere with Zach. She wasn't a slut, she was just between guys. And she didn't know who to choose. But one kiss couldn't hurt, right? For the millionth time, Lex was glad that Lewis couldn't actually read her mind. Making a split decision based mostly on instinct, and very little on practicality and consequences, Alexia stood up. She walked closer to where Lewis was sitting, and sat beside him, facing him. Their faces were barely inches apart, and their legs were already touching. She waited for him to move, not daring to do anything first. Her blue eyes locked onto his brown ones , and she wondered how he was feeling. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Lewis raised his eyebrows and looked away for a moment or two as Lex said he must not just see her very clearly. It was the only response he could manage, that one kiss on her cheek made him desperate for more. He wanted to just lean over and kiss her until it became night. But he knew that wouldn't end well, they were friends right now, that was all. So a kiss on the cheek was all he could as much as he wanted to do more and was pretty sure Lex wouldn't mind him kissing her more as well. Lewis sighed and looked back at Lex, he knew he shouldn't it just made him want her more but he couldn't help but look at her. Not for the first time an probably not for the last time, he wished they were still going out. He wanted to say something, something to take his mind off wanting to kiss Lex but his mind was a complete blur and he couldn't think straight. He frowned in frustration but then got rid of his frown and smiled at Lex.
He looked back down at the lighter still in his hands and went to put it way. As he was carefully putting it back in his pocket, every inch of him froze as he felt Lex move closer, he didn't even breath for a while. But then he relaxed, put the lighter away and looked at Lex. His face was so close to hers and there legs touching, Lewis began to get confused he didn't know what to do. Kiss her? Or back away? Of course, every single part of him wanted to kiss her, but he still wasn't to sure. What if she was going out with someone, Lewis never really did know that kind of thing. but if she was properly going out with someone would she do this. Lewis looked in to her eyes, as if the might hold some answer. Then his body took over and he kissed her. Just one small kiss on her lips. He slowly wrapped his legs round hers and looked straight into her eyes. He wanted to kiss her more, but wanted to see her reaction to the kiss even more. So he sat there, his legs around hers, just waiting for a reaction to the kiss. WORDS!? 392 STATUS!? done! CREDIT!? credit to carrie @ caution

WHERE I'LL PROVE I'M ALL YOU WANT AND MORE. you just need to let it unfold. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Alexia hesitated as Lewis kissed her. She suddenly didn't know how she felt. Did she want this? Part of her screamed yes, but a surprisingly large part was against it. Alexia had problems commiting, and she knew that if things with Lewis went any further now, commitment was exactly where they would end up, and that meant another break up. And she didn't want that. But did she want Lewis? Yes. As a boyfriend? No. That's the problem, Lex finally realized, it was that she was selfish. She didn't want to commit to him, but wanted him readily available for when she did feel like him. And that wasn't fair on anyone.
She felt detached from her body, only barely registering the heat from his body, the way his legs were around her, the way he was watching her. Lex had only now realized what she did want. She wanted this attention, this adoration, but not from him. From someone else. And she knew who it was, and they weren't giving it to her. And that was why they were so special to her. Alexia loved that Lewis made her feel this way, and adored her like this, but that was part of the problem. He was too available. She needed the chase. That was why it wouldn't ever properly work between them. The last thought made Alexia sadder than she expected, and she felt tears welling up in her blue eyes. Swallowing to keep them at bay, she looked up at Lewis and shook her head softly.
He wouldn't understand, she figured. She couldn't say there was someone else, but it wasn't him either. The problem was her. But he wouldn't believe that. Lex leaned forward slowly to give him a kiss on the cheek, and when she leaned away she softly whispered "Sorry.", before standing up. She had to leave soon, the tears were threatening to overflow, and she could tell that this was a fight she wouldn't win. Suddenly feeling older than her 16 years, Alexia wished that life were simpler. Why did people always get hurt, no matter what she tried? It was so unfair. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Lewis knew the minute she hesitated from his kiss that Lex didn't want this, they were just friends now nothing more. He sighed and was proved right when she shook her head at him. He hated this, not being able to commit, he hated the fact that he couldn't stay in a relationship for to long because he didn't like the idea of settling down and being with the same person for the rest of his life. He would admit, the idea did scare him a little. Eventually, he would get over his problem and find someone to be with, he just hoped they were as good as Alexia. Once gin he regretted the day they broke up, but it would just never work between them, they were only meant to be friends. Lewis was angry, but not at her, at him self, for being so stupid enough to believe things could have worked out between him and Lex. She could get any guy she wanted but he was stuck with meaningless flirting and the odd flings, nothing more. He heard her whisper sorry, and wanted so much to just shout out 'No! It's not you fault!' But words were at a loss for him right now, h felt a lump in his throat begin to rise. He wanted to cry a little but right now he needed to be there Lex. He would of liked to pull her into a hug, and stop her crying but he fought back this urge stronger than ever, he did that then it was over, and of all the things he wanted this was the biggest.
Lewis sighed again, opening and closing his fist, he watched Lex get up as if to leave and he felt a pang of sadness go straight through him. If he was never going to have Lex as a girlfriend, then he at least wanted her as a friend. Otherwise he would feel empty for the rest of his life, he didn't want to lose as good a friend as Lex. He stood up as well and waited for a moment. She had said sorry to him, but it was Lewis that was really sorry, he shouldn't of kissed her, he knew that but he couldn't help him self, he wanted Lex so much that he just couldn't have her. For a third time Lewis sighed, beginning to get slightly nervous he wanted to say something, he wanted Lex to stay, he wanted to say sorry for kissing her he should of know better but he just couldn't find the right words. Lewis took a deep breath, swallowing back his anger at him self, and the sadness that was overflowing inside him. "Look, Lex, I'm sorry, I shouldn't of kissed you, we're just friends and I should know that by now. But, don't leave please, I don't want to lose you as a friend. If you have someone else, fine, I don't care, you can even tell me about him if you like. But don't go, if you go I'll be forced to go back into school because I won't be able to stand sitting out here alone, all I'll be able to think about is the fact that I've just lost a very good friend." Lewis was practically pleading Lex not to go now begging her he would of got down on his hands and knees had she been facing him. But instead he just stood behind her, not too close, and put a hand on her shoulder. As well as not wanting her to go, he didn't want her to cry either, Lewis could be a sympathetic person, a person who would listen but he couldn't be sympathetic with Lex when his emotions were on the brink of showing themselves as well. He squeezed her shoulder gently, wanting to pull her into a friendly hug, but wondered how friendly that would appear, he had already nearly ruined their friendship he didn't want to ruin it anymore. "Please." Lewis whispered. Eventually he would come to terms with the fact the he was just a very good guy friend of Lex's and nothing more, well, that was if he hadn't already ruined their friendship.
