Alexia had woken up feeling extremely lazy. She hadn't even bothered to do anything other than pack a bag, brush her teeth, dress and do her make-up lightly before walking right out of the house. She didn't know if anyone else was up or not, and didn't really mind. Lex planned on getting a quick breakfast on the way, as she strolled to the beach. All she wanted was to lie on the soft sand listening to her iPod, basking in the warm sunlight that covered Miami.
Walking down the familiar street in her white sundress and black havaianas, Lexia had her long blonde hair loose in soft curls down her back, spilling over her shoulders, and her blue eyes covered by enormous shades. She looked wonderful, and she knew it. Lex had never been very modest, but she wasn't a mean person, far from it.
She smiled softly as she stopped momentarily to buy a blueberry smoothie on her way dow to the beach. It was too hot for a coffee right now, she thought idly as she listened to the sound her havaianas made as they hit the sidewalk. There were bound to be people she knew on the beach, considering most of Miami knew her and her sister. They were part of the elite, known by everyone. So it was unlikely that her presence would go unnoticed on the beach. But that was fine by her, she loved the attention.
Arriving at the beach, she didn't pause as her aqua colored eyes admired the blue waves, and the soft white sand. It was a beautiful place, for sure, but she was used to it. Alexia had always lived in Miami. Dropping her bag on the sand after spreading out her towel, she pulled off her dress to reveal a white bikini that showed off her tan, and lay down. Relaxing on the beach as she listened to the sound of the waves crashing against the sand, a soft smile played on her lips.

Oh, sunny sun sun, you make me want to sing! Sunny wanted to do something productive on such a nice day. There was no point in staying home being lazy and doing nothing. Before leaving, Sunny brushed her teeth, showered and dressed. She put on some sunscreen, and her sunglasses. She didn't feel like putting a lot of make-up on. Sunny settled for a little bit of eyeliner and soon left her home. But not before telling her family where she was going.
Sunny walked down the road to the beach as she looked at the view around her. Children were playing, parents were laughing, and couples were holding their hands. The sun felt nice on her skin and loved it when the wind tickled her. Her stomach grumbled from not eating anything for breakfast.
As she made her way to the beach, she stopped and got a nice cold iced coffee. She felt that there wasn't enough sugar, but she let it go and continued to sip it. As she stepped on to the beach, the soft, white sand went between her sandals. The waved crashed on to the beach. Sunny smiled and skipped her way over to find a spot on the beach.

Lex had her iPod turned up to maximum volume, as always, and could only hear the pounding of the music that blocked out everything around her. The sun was amazingly warm and there were few feelings better than thatof lying in the sand, soaking up the rays. It was like her entire body was covered by a blanket of warmth, and she loved it. Lexie really was a Miami girl at heart.
She frowned softly as she felt a shadow pass over her as someone walked past. Opening one blue eye behind her shades, Alexia recognized the person as Sunny. They were both Juniors, and Sunny was one of the elite preps. They were friends, so there was no reason to get mad. Lex had always had a bit of a problem with her temper, and only her friends were safe from it. Anyone else was bound to get trampled on. She should have gotten help a while ago, but she didn't consider it her problem. It was other people's fault for being so annoying and provoking her.
She lazily reached over to turn the volume of her iPod down a bit, so she could hear what was going on around her. Her blonde hair was splayed around her head like a halo, the curls twisting and twirling randomly as she lay back down. There was just something about the beach that seemed to attract everyone. People always ended up here, no matter where they were planning on going. It was the perfect place to meet up.

Sunny wanted to go play in the water. But she needed someone to watch her things. She wasn't sure what to do. So, for a few minutes Sunny stood there wondering what to do. She wasn't so absent minded but it seemed like her brain wasn't going to cooperate with her. In frustration, Sunny kicked some sand. She didn't mean to kick it hard, but that was what she did. She wouldn't be surprised if someone yelled at her.
She sat down on her towel. "Argh!" she said, annoyed with herself. "Come on, brain! Think of something!" she told herself. Again, nothing. Sunny sighed and laid on her back. 'Today just doesn't seem to be my day.' she thought.

Alexia had closed her eyes, but they flashed open in a split second as she felt someone kick sand all over her. Her blue eyes immediately noticed that it was Sunny, and she sat up. "Urm, do you mind?" She asked, annoyed. She didn't know if her friend had seen her or not, but kicking sand on her when she was just trying to relax was kind of rude. Besides, it wasn't like Lex was blocking the path or anything. She was just sunbathing.
She pulled her iPod earphones out of her ears, swiftly turning it off and turning back to look at Sunny. The girl better have a good explanation for this, she thought to herself. Lex had problems with her temper, and although she wasn't in denial about it or anything, she didn't feel the need to get help. People could just deal with it.

Sunny was caught a bit off guard. But when she saw Alexia, she couldn't help kind of laugh a little. She tried to stifle it a little. She failed. "I... I'm sorry!" she said. "I'm really, really sorry." Sunny said again. "I promise it won't happen again!" she cried.
"I was trying to think of a good idea and I couldn't. I know it's a bad reason." Sunny nervously laughed. Sunny doubted Alexia would accept her 'excuse'. And she doubted that she'll believe her too.

Alexia raised an eyebrow at Sunny's explanation. Right. "You were trying to think of a good idea?" She asked, slightly disbelievingly. That caused people to kick sand these days? Gawd, what had the world come to? But deciding to be nice, she didn't want anything to ruin her mood, Lex shrugged. "Need help?" She asked cheerfully, after brushing all the sand off her. She might as well be friendly, Sunny had apologized after all.
Alexia sat up, stretching. Lying on the beach always made her feel so lazy. She pushed her aviators onto her forhead to hold back her hair, and looked back up at her friend. She wasn't surprised to see one of her friends at the beach, she had expected it. Lex looked around the beach, her blue eyes wandering aimlessly as she waited for Sunny to answer.
