I'm a joker I'm a smoker I'm a midnight toker I sure don't want to hurt no one
You couldn't really call her a smoker, but sometimes she just needed something to relax her, after a hard day of classes, and talking...talking took up more energy than you could ever guess, especially the way Holly did it. If there was a sport for talking in the Olympics she would take the gold. The reason for her sneaking out to her car after class on this particular day was math...oh, how she hated math. Oh, how she hated all those little smart kids who actually liked math. None of it made any sense to her...which was probably part of the reason she was still in Algebra 2, and she was a Junior. It was kind of embarrassing...and she was firmly convinced that everyone thought she was a completely idiot because of it...or maybe it was because she acted a complete idiot most of the time. Either way, it wasn't a good feeling...
She snuck out to her lovely new, freshly waxed red Porsche. Her mom had bought it for her last birthday, and she quickly fell madly in love with it, getting it washed every week, and not letting anyone eat in it...but smoking in it, that was a different story. Probably because she had about five air freshners in it, you know, the kind shaped as pine tree's, and she sprayed it at least three times a day...with rose air freshner. Mmmm...of course the only person who liked the smell of pine and roses together is Holly, but that's besides the point. The point is that Holly needed a delicious cancer causing cigarette.
As she sat down, pulling out a cigarette packet from her dashboard she let out a sigh. She always kept a carton or two in her car, just in case...now if only she could find her lighter. It was hot pink, it shouldn't have been that damn hard to find. "God damn it..." She muttered, the door to her car still open. She climbed all around the front seat, looking for it, and probably looking like an idiot for anyone else who might be there...if she were anyone but Holly she might care that people were probably watching her, without her knowlage, and laughing at her, or something...but she was Holly. And she really didn't care.

AND I'M TRYIN' TO KEEP FROM GOIN' UNDERwho turned the temperature hotter? CAUSE I'M BURNIN' UP, BURNIN' UP FOR YOU BABY much, you just had to use your brain. And he was almost permanently high anyway, so it was pretty pointless. Walking outside, he headed to the parking lot to get his iPod from his car. On his way, he noticed a flurry of activity in the front seat of a car. First he thought someone was getting some action between classes, then he realized it was just Holly crawling around, obviously searching for something. Strange girl, he thought with a grin. It became evident as he approached her that she was looking for a lighter, since she had an unlit cigarette in her hand, but hadn't lit it. Leaning against her open door, he flickered his lighter on and off. "Hello darling, need a light?" He asked playfully, still grinning. Holly was a bit different to other girls, but she was amusing, always fun to hang out with, mostly because she always had so much energy. Meanwhile, as he waited for her to turn around and answer, Jake pulled a joint out of his pocket, which he had rolled just before coming here, and stuck it in his mouth, quickly lighting it and inhaling. Damn, that's good. He thought peacefully. His brian felt wonderfully empty and simple, and a light smile stayed on his face as he took another drag. "So whattcha doing here anyways?" He asked Holly. [/ul] - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - TAG! HOLLY , AND WE'RE AT! PARKING LOT , SHE LOOKS! -- , AND THIS IS! Holly jumped in surprise as she heard someone talk behind her. She turned around, ready to thank her savior, when she was who it was. It was Jake, and he was smoking a joint, which only made things better. Jake was always fun to talk to, and he didn't really seem annoyed by her talking, usually. "Oh god, I love you!" She said, holding out her still unlit cigarette, for him to light it. "I lost my lighter...I think." She laughed a little bit. She was definitely a bit of a scatter brain, always losing things, and forgetting important dates, and completely skipping classes on accident, just because she forgot where she was...but she liked to think that it made her more interesting than people who were always so...organized.
"I ammm...skipping class, and smoking a cigarette. I could ask you the same question, but it's kind of obvious." She smirked, and gestured toward his joint he was holding. She wasn't one of the people who were all 'drugs are bad!' but she definitely didn't do them on a regular basis. Mostly because she didn't find the need...she would much rather just drink five energy drinks and bounce off the walls even more than usual, if that's even possible...and most people think it isn't. Hanging out with Holly is hanging out with someone who's already had too much caffeine, and that's when she hasn't had any. It really is too much for some people, but she doesn't really care.

AND I'M TRYIN' TO KEEP FROM GOIN' UNDERwho turned the temperature hotter? CAUSE I'M BURNIN' UP, BURNIN' UP FOR YOU BABY He grinned, just kidding. Not many people hated Jake, he was too easy to get along with. Not that he didn't have his moments, but mostly he just liked to go with the flow and have fun. So it was all good really. Her answer wasn't surprising. He nodded, "Ye.. I had physics." He replied as if that explained everything. The crazy thing about East High was that they didn't mind if you skipped class, didn't go to school at all, or whatever, as long as you didn't damage school property and you paid enough. Gotta love this place, he grinned to himself, taking a long drag. He offered some to Holly, "Hey sorry, you want?" He asked politely. He knew she didn't do drugs regularly, like some people, but wasn't totally against them. It really annoyed him when people tried to lecture him about drinking, smoking, drugs, etc. It was his life, and damnit he would live it to the full, his way. He never really got mad at them, just let it go in one ear and out the other. It wasn't their life or body, but his. And he would do what he wanted with it. But Jake turned his attention back to Holly. He sat down on the warm ground beside her car, crossing his legs and taking another puff. "So tell me dearest, what have you been up to lately? Haven't seen you around much." He asked her cheerfully. The nice thing with being with Holly was that she didn't mind that he was always happy, because so was she. She understood that people didn't have to have a reason for smiling, they just did. He leaned back and looked around. All the cars here were worth crazy amounts of money. It was funny because it was almost exactly what the parking lot at his old school in LA had looked like. Except that the school there was bigger, so there were a few more cars. But otherwise it was weirdly similar. Just went to show that there were always rich kids, and they were always the same, no matter where they lived. She smiled, and rolled her eyes a little bit, even thought she knew he was joking. "You're so conceited." She said, in a teasing voice. She knew it was probably true...Jake was a really easy guy to like, at least to her. It was probably due to the fact that he was always so happy, and it was just so hard to dislike him...or at least that's how she felt. Then again, Holly doesn't dislike many people, unless they insult her...if there's one thing she can't take, it's insults. And liars. "Ah. Physics sucks." She sighed, in a sympathetic way. Then again, to her all classes sucked...unless it had something to do with music. Which was probably why she was barely making C's in most of her classes...not that she really minded, in the least.
"No thanks." She said, with a shrug of her shoulders. The only time she really smoked pot, or drank, or anything was at parties, and even then she didn't do it too much. "I haven't been up to much of anything, really...which is probably why you haven't seen me." She laughed a little bit. It was true...she'd mostly just been..going with the flow, like she usually did. Of course the main reason she even had to go with the flow was because she had such trouble keeping track of everything...she really needed to invest in a planner, everyone was always saying so, but she refused. Life should be unplanned, in her opinion.
"What have you been up to?" She asked it in a curious way, as she reached down by her feet and picked up an un-opened amp...her favorite kind of energy drink. It was kind of warm, from being there for so long, but it still tasted good. She popped it open and took a sip of it's yummy delicious purple-ness. She was no longer stressing about math...but that's probably just because she wasn't in class, like she was supposed to be.

AND I'M TRYIN' TO KEEP FROM GOIN' UNDERwho turned the temperature hotter? CAUSE I'M BURNIN' UP, BURNIN' UP FOR YOU BABY He clarified, which was pretty true. Well, partly. Classes sucked. Majorly. But it was cool to see all your friends and have basketball practice and all. And it wasn't like their school was a bad one. But maybe that was because of their state of the art musical department. There wasn't much Jake liked more than performing and basketball. Even girls and parties came second. But he never saw the point in actually going to class. He wouldn't learn anything he would need to know. He wanted to be a musician, and was already a damn good one. He didn't need to go to Biology or World History. Where was the point in that? Jake listened patiently as she spoke, the pot making everything so simple. "Ye.. That's cool. I've been busy.. being me. You know. Parties. Pot. Stuff." He told her happily, her hazel eyes getting a slightly glazed look as the pot made it's way to his head. He sometimes wondered whta his parents thought was really going on, and what they were thinking. They gave him all the freedom and money he wanted, never questioning what went on at their parties. Which was weird considering the number of times large groups of people had ended up passed out in their living room, and how many empty bottles of alcohol and packets of fags were left strewn around. They never even blinked if he came home wearing the same clothes as the previous day, having stayed at some random persons house the night, his pupils huge and the smell of smoke, pot and drinks surrounding him. Maybe they didn't care, or maybe they remembered that they had been exactly the same as kids.
