Alexia strode over to the front steps of the school, loving the sound of her black Manolos clacking against the pavement. Her white mini and pale blue tank showed off her tan and highlighted her brilliant blue eyes perfectly. Her long hair was loose, as always, and curled softly down her back. She carried a white Chloe bag containing all of her books as she slowed upon arrival. There were loads of students around, but they moved aside as Lex came, not daring to risk provoking her. She was a bit tempermental, and her mood swings were notoriously unpredictable.
The front steps of the school were a common place for students, mostly the elite, to gather and meet up. From there, they could keep an eye on the other students, and be sure that they could be constantly seen. That was probably what Alexia loved most, the feeling of constantly being watched. It made her glow a little on the inside, and made her feel like she mattered. So what if she was shallow, at least she was happy.
Lex was early today, she hadn't been able to get out of the house early enough; she was avoiding her parents. They had been acting weird around her at dinner, so they probably knew something they shouldn't. There wasn't much they weren't aware of, they were pretty easy-going anyway, but Lex was nervous when they acted this way. She'd have to ask Gabby about it later, her sister would probably know what was going on.
Waiting for her friends, Lexie let the Florida sun soak into her tanned skin, relishing the heat. There really weren't many placs in the world better than Miami, in her opinion. Sunshine, beaches, hot guys, pretty girls, crazy parties.. Ye, it was a hard life, she smiled softly to herself. She was confident that her friends would arrive soon. They always did.
